Here is a synthetic golf green we installed in country Queensland last year. Unfortunately the black soil has moved quite a bit and has cracked. The green was totally useless – the putting cups had moved and the green was really bumping.
Bruce and I travelled to Goondiwindi this week to fix it. This involved rolling back the synthetic grass, adding some cement to the ground (to help stabilise the black soil), adding a layer of crusher dust, compacting and then reapplying the grass. It took most of one afternoon and a few hours in the morning. We even gave the green a new sprinkling of infill to ensure it was rolling optimally.
After a few hours the green was back better than ever – mostly thanks to Bruce. I didn’t do much, mostly got in the way. I did help by doing most of the driving though. Richard and Alison were very happy with the result and Richard’s putting wasn’t going too badly as you can see from the video below. The bottom line is we take pride in our creations. Sometimes bad stuff happens – and typically, even if it’s no our fault, we’ll come by and fix any issues with your putting green. This service is for our full install clients.
